The Struggle for Identity from Mask-Wearing to Authenticity

There are a few moments in individual's life when he has a fleeting glimpse of who he is and what he might become. These are moments in which certain authentic portions of himself are struggling to be recognised. But such occasions are rare and not easily recognised for what they are. And so, for most of us, they pass into the stream of memory as unimportant items in that huge accumlation of past events to which we hardly pay heed.
