The history
of WULA
WULA is a literary movement created by some freshmen
of Philosophy of Universidade Pedagógica
Sagrada Família of Maxixe on 2nd May of 2012: Juga Ernesto Samuel; João
Alberto Macuacua and Constantino Bernardo Manhique. They are both creators and representatives
of the movement.
This movement exalts realism, romanticism, fiction, and
more literary schools about world’s realities.
You could question, why the noun “WULA”, and the
answer would be: the word originated from Xitswa which means “SAY” in English, because
if someone has something that manifests in him, it only can be known when he
mentions it. Then, while he is quiet or does not mention it, there is no
possible manner to know about such thing. Therefore, it is through “SAYING” that
we can be aware about what exists or manifests in someone.
The objectives
of the movement
The main aim of WULA is ‘’mature and sympathetic human
creation through literature. In this principal objective, there are two specific
objectives that we underline below:
a)
Showing
to society how it manifests itself;
b)
Freely
acclaiming the human expression in society.
The
philosophy of the movement
Talking about the philosophy of this movement is to
refer to its basic principles that craft to it a fundament of its existence. In
this case, WULA’s philosophy consists on feeding
the human soul, for his infinite mature
and harmonious existence.
The
literary mould and idiom used by WULA
The literary mould comprehends to a specific monthly
and commercial literary characteristic produced by us. In this case, WULA produces seven literary moulds
as: poetry; prose; story; legend; chronic; proverbs and fiction. Concerned to
idioms, let us say that for a while WULA is privileging four languages that are:
Xitswa; Portuguese; English and French.
